I subscribe to a blog about cooking, 101 Cookbooks, by Heidi Swanson. I LOVE it because it’s always inspiring me to experiment in the kitchen, even if I don’t necessarily use her recipes. This past week, Heidi highlighted two of her friends, Whitney Moss and Heather Flett, as they shared their favorite family/kid friendly cookbooks. These two have a terrific site, Rookie Moms. At their website, they’ve started a section called The Pumping Project in an effort to get women to open up about their experiences as well as hold Corporate America responsible for their treatment of moms who need to pump. (Kudos to the companies who do a good job in providing great space and opportunity, SHAME on companies who don’t!)
As a mom who exclusively pumped for seven months, I think this is a terrific idea and have added the links to my link section. Share your story if you have one – let the world know about your achievement!
