Each week, one blog post or originally written story entailing an aspect of Postpartum Mood & Anxiety Disorders is featured here at My Postpartum Voice as the Postpartum Voice of the Week. This feature is published on Thursdays.
At this time, there are no prizes or monetary awards associated with this feature. All posts are put up for vote in December for consideration in Postpartum Voice of the Year. All posts feature a badge which may be posted at the winner’s blog provided it links back to their post at My Postpartum Voice.
It is absolutely fine to submit your own writing or story.
Blog posts must be published the same week. Submission for blog posts runs from Tuesday – Tuesday.
Original stories do not have a specific deadline and may be submitted at any time. Please do not submit your complete story here. All you have to do is provide an email address and a few sentences about your story. I will follow up with you about writing your story. I do publish anonymously as I realize some moms may be ready to share their story but not ready to divulge their identity. There are no length limits, no heavy editing. I may briefly go over the story for spelling or grammar but do not edit details. If there is an aspect of your story you would rather not share, simply do not include it in your submission.
I thank you for sharing your stories. With each story shared, one more mother has shattered the stigma of silence surrounding Postpartum Mood & Anxiety Disorders. And that? Rocks.
(If you have any questions, please email me at mypostpartumvoice(@)gmail(dot)com with Submissions Question as your subject line.)
